Ed Klik is a Partner with Arnett Carbis Toothman LLP’s Health Care Services Team and has been a member of the Firm for over 15 years. His focus is on providing services to meet the specific needs of our heath care clients. His experience includes financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations of nursing homes, personal care homes and assisted living facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, hospice agencies, home care agencies, physician practices, and rehabilitation facilities; preparation and analysis of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports; Medicare and Medicaid audit analyses; Medicare bad debt audits; purchases/sales of health care entities; financial operational reviews; accounts receivable and revenue enhancement reviews; nursing home bed assessment analysis; CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) designation assistance; HUD (The Department of Housing and Urban Development) project audits, start-up assistance, and regulatory filing assistance; resident day reporting analysis; mortgage restructuring and refinancing; employee benefit services; budget preparation and assistance; review and audit corporate compliance programs; not-for-profit and forprofit tax preparation; and general auditing, consulting, and accounting services for our health care clients.
A graduate of Duquesne University, Ed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting. He is consistently active in the Pennsylvania Association of County Affiliated Homes (PACAH), LeadingAge PA (formerly panpha), where he regularly attends its regional meetings, the Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA), and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and has also participated in speaking events for a variety of long-term care and health care industry associations. He is also the Director of Arnett Carbis Toothman's Health Care Reimbursement Services Committee and works closely with the Firm’s Clinical, Information Technology (IT), and Outsourcing consulting departments.
