Steven S. Robey is a Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Arnett Carbis Toothman LLP and serves as Co‐Coordinator of the Firm’s Tax practice. He has over 41 years of public accounting experience, the last 38 of which have been concentrated in taxation.
Steve’s broad range of experience includes extensive tax planning and compliance work dealing primarily with commercial entities. His experience includes tax controversy services, mergers and acquisitions, sophisticated business and tax transactions, and review of new and proposed legislation. Steve has taught and presented several training classes and seminars on taxation for the West Virginia Society of CPAs and other organizations.
Steve graduated with honors from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentration in accounting. A Certified Public Accountant in West Virginia, Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the AICPA Tax Division, the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Charleston Chapter of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Steve is a former Chairman of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Tax Committee, twice Chairman of the West Virginia Tax Institute, a former Chairman of the Charleston Area Tax Group, and former Chairman of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants state and local tax committee.
In addition to being a CPA, Steve has achieved the designation of a Charted Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
Steve’s past and present civic, charitable, and social activities include: Board Member and Treasurer of the CAMC Foundation; Vice‐Chairman, Board Member, and Executive Committee Member of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce; State of West Virginia Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission; Board and Finance Committee Member of The Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences; Central West Virginia Chapter of the American Red Cross; former Board Member of the YMCA of Kanawha Valley; Lay Leader, Youth Leader, Treasurer, former Senior and Junior Warden, and Basketball Coach at St. Matthews Episcopal Church; and a Member of the Edgewood Country Club. Steve and his wife, Beth, have two adult children, Andrew and Tyler.
Steve serves as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and is Vice‐President of Total Practice Management, LLC, the Firm’s affiliated medical billing organization.
